Congratulations JAGS on taking 2nd Place at the 2023 Continental League Championships Friday and Saturday! Our A-League Team of 34 Swimmers & Divers was Fierce! You not only gave it your best, but also you supported and cheered for each other and showed the very best of our JAG Pride Sportsmanship! In addition, thank you to all of you who came to represent, watch and cheer on your teammates at Prelims & Finals! Your positive energy and spirit are a huge part of our success. THE BEST IS YET TO COME! Colorado 5A State Championship Meet will take place Tuesday, Feb 7th for Diving and Thursday - Friday, Feb 9th and 10th for Swimming at VMAC Pool in Thornton! I have attached detailed information regarding Athlete Schedules and protocol, Tickets, Spectators & Parking! Please review if you are a Competing Athlete or if you are planning on attending to support your team! This is very important information for all!

Please make note of the following A-League Updates for Athletes swimming on Friday, Feb. 3rd!
- Swimmers will be dismissed at 11:15 AM Friday, Feb. 3rd
- Rock Canyon Warm up will start at 3 PM Sharp!
- Arrive at Heritage HS, Friday at 2:45 am and enter through the pool doors as school will be in session!
- Wear your Warm up swim suit to the pool. You will not be allowed to change in the locker rooms as there is
a swim class going on so you have to be ready to swim before you enter the pool.
- New Prelim Meet Start time 4:55 pm
- The following information is for Spectators:
Please review the following information regarding A-League Spectators at Heritage HS:
For Prelims on Friday:
- Doors will open for spectators at 3:45. Please come in through the Athletic Entrance.
- There will be no chairs allowed in the pool area. You are welcome to set your chairs up out in the hall.
- Admission will be charged for each session. Cash or check is required for admission (however you can pay via zelle for programs, shirts and concessions)
- This will be a VERY crowded meet. Please do not take up excess space in the bleachers. Lets be good hosts and make room for everyone.
- From prelims, the top 18 swimmers in each individual event will advance to finals, but no more than 4 swimmers from each team can advance. One relay from each team will advance.
- We will be selling meet programs for $3.
- We will be selling Chic-Fil-A sandwiches and drinks at concessions. Sandwiches will be $6. Please help your team out and buy sandwiches and programs.
- We will once again be selling the popular "Candygrams". For $5, you get to pick a box of candy, decorate it and write a note to your swimmer. The candygrams are then delivered periodically throughout the meet. This is a great way to support and encourage your swimmer. Again, all proceeds go back to the team (and help offset the costs of hosting the meet).
For Finals on Saturday:
- Doors will open for spectators at 1:00
- Once again, no chairs will be allowed in the pool area.
- Admission again
- The finals are swim as a "C" Final, "B" Final and then the "A" Final is announced and the swimmers march in to music.
- All A League qualifers are strongly encouraged to come back for finals even if they do not advance. We want to support our team.
- We will again sell meet programs.
- For Saturday, we will only be selling drinks and candygrams at concessions.
If you have grandparents that only plan to attend 1 day, I recommend brining them on Saturday as there will be a bit more breathing room with a slightly smaller crowd.

We have had a Fantastically Fast & Fun week last week! Thank you to all who were able to attend our Team Dinner at Noodles & Company last Wednesday. Than you Kristen Seager and Dana Schmahl and all of our wonderful Parent Volunteers who truly made our last Team Dinner Shine!
Congratulation to our C & B League Swimmers on Friday evening and Saturday morning at Regis & Heritage Respectively. Results posted on our website!
These were BY FAR our best League meets yet! Thank you swimmers for focusing and attending practice to that you could reach your goals at the end of the season. In addition to multiple best times, we had 2 New A-League Qualifiers from B-League, Amelia Solano and Zoe Wargin! Swimmers who attended C & B League to support your Teammates, YOU ROCK! Thank you JAGS for always showing your Graceful Jaguar Pride! We could not have been so successful without YOU! Thank you Kristen Seager, Katie Lemeshewski, Erika Crosswhite, Sheri Olsen and Robin Vora for Treating Swimmers and Coaches with your wonderful Goodie Bags! We so appreciate you!

- Arapahoe Swim Meet, Tues. Jan 24th at Arapahoe HS: Warm up 4:15 pm, Meet Starts at 5:00 pm. Spectators will pay for admission. GO JAGS!
- Team Dinner, Wed, Jan 25th at Noodles & Co in Lone Tree: 5:15 pm. We would love to have all of our JAGS attend this quick, fun dinner and wish our C & B League Swimmers good luck! Thank you, Kristen Seager and Dana Schmahl, for organizing.
- Continental C-League at Regis HS, Friday, Jan 27th: Warm up 3:30 pm, Meet Starts at 5 pm.

- Continental B-League Meet at Heritage HS, Saturday, Jan 28th: Warm up 9 am, Meet starts 10:30 am. Meet entries will be posted! Arrive at Heritage by 8:45 am. B-League is supporting the Race to End Hunger Food Drive and the beneficiary is Backpack Society. Please donate food, funds or gift cards! The school with the most donations receives a special trophy that travels each year to the winning team! Let's represent our JAG Pride with donations!

- Practice Schedule this week: Eastridge Rec Center 3:15 pm start for all swimmers. A-League swimmers will swim until 4:45 pm. We will be preparing our B & C League swimmers for their Championship meets and want all B & C League Swimmers to attend Practice Wednesday & Thursday & B-League Swimmers will also practice Friday. All practices will start at 3:15 pm, however B & C League Swimmers will be tapering for your meet and swimming for one hour or less Wed, Thurs & Friday! GOOD LUCK JAGS!

Congratulations JAGS on a victorious week of competition last week! JAG swimmers Rocked with a huge victory over HRHS Jan 10th and you all shined through your support cheering for each other and for your wonderful Sportsmanship! In addition, JAG Divers & Dive Coach Kathy Andrie absolutely rocked with a 1,2,3 Finish at the Diving Invite on Jan 11th! This invite included RCHS, MVHS, HRHS & TRHS! Ainsley Overbaugh 1st, Claire Coddington 2nd and Anna Porter 3rd! Our very own Coach Kathie hosted this invite! Thank you, Coach Kathy, for all of your hard work!

- Thank you Parents for Volunteering, to time, set up and clean up at our first Home meet against HRHS Meet last week! Special shout out to Molly Lush for setting up the meet and staying until the very end to organize and clean up. Thank you, Reed James for being our Head Timer and to Jackie Sivahop and Molly Lush for working on the Console! The meet would not have taken place with our you all!
- Practice Schedule: Monday, Jan 16th Holiday Practice at CAC 1-2:30 pm, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday Regular Practice at Eastridge 3:15 - 4:45 pm. Jags we had a very light practice attendance last week. Do not forget, if you are a club swimmer you must swim one practice plus a meet every week and if you are not a club swimmer you must attend all practices! Believe it or not, these are our last 2 weeks of practice for B & C League swimmers! C League is Jan 27th and B League is Jan 28th. We have a practice plan to follow prior to your League meet and if you are not attending practice you will not benefit from your training plan! League Meet information will be e-mailed and posted once Meet Directors inform us of details!
- Team Dinner, Wednesday, Jan 18th at Noodles & Company in Lone Tree at 5:15 pm! Thank you, Kristen Seager and Dana Schmahl, for organizing. You will have plenty of time to shower, change and make it to Noodles & Company in Lone Tree! This is our last Team dinner, hope you all can make it!
- Rock Canyon vs. Legend HS Pink Meet at Northridge Rec Center Thursday, Jan 19th: 3 pm warm up, 4 pm start. You will be dismissed at 2:15 pm. Meet theme is PINK MEET to honor Breast Cancer Awareness! We will have fun Pink Meet T-shirts which Legend is preparing and some other goodies! All you have to do is Wear Pink to school and the meet, show your awesome JAG Grace and Pride through good Sportsmanship and be the best you can be in and out of the water in honor of family and friends and all who are battling Breast Cancer! This is a Home Meet and we need our Parent Volunteers! We would love for you to wear pink if you can! Thank you in advance to Molly Lush, Reed James and Jackie Sivahop and all parents who are timing at the meet. Timers arrive no later than 3:30 pm for the timers meeting! By now you have heard we will NOT have practice today, Dec. 29th due to DCSD School Closures per District Rules.
HAVE NO FEAR WE WILL HAVE AN AWESOME CANCER FIGHTING WORKOUT TOMORROW, JAN 30TH AT CAC 1-2:30 PM at our 5th
Annual JAG A THON to raise funds for Cancer Research at Children's Hospital Colorado through Swim Across America!
Did you know that every 15 minutes 50 Americans are diagnosed with Cancer? Swim Across America is Fighting this horrible statistic and is succeeding. Even better, SAA-Denver has raised almost $1 Million in 5 years through our wonderful sport of swimming to Fight Pediatric Cancer in Colorado and our funds go directly to our Brilliant Grant Recipients at Children's Hospital Colorado! All you need to do is show up and swim and you will receive fun tattoos, SAA Silicone Caps, water bottle stickers and other goodies. We will take some fun photos to share on the SAA-Denver website as well! There will be prizes for Top Fundraisers! Please register online by using the following link: www.swimacrossamerica.org/JagAThon2022. You can register even after you swim tomorrow or if you are out of town, you can fundraise and will still receive SAA Cap! Once you register you can send link to friends and family who can go to the website and donate in your name and you can also look at the Leader Board on the website!

This is a Prelim/Final meet at VMAC Pool on Saturday, 12/17. Swimmers arrive at 6:30 am warm up starts at 7 am SHARP! Meet starts at 8:30 am! Top 20 relays and individual events return for finals. Finals warm up for finalists 2:30 pm. Finals start at 3:30 pm! Divers compete Friday. Warm up 2:30, 4 pm start! Top 20 divers compete at Swim Finals on Saturday!
- Holiday Meet Schedule: We will continue to compete through the Holidays JAGS! We have the Eric Craven Invite at Cherry Creek HS on Wed. Jan 4th and Mt. Visa Invite at Colorado School of Mines on Jan 6th for Diving and 7th for swimming! Both meets provide amazing opportunities to swim fast and go for League and State Qual Times! - 5th Annual Swim Across America Jag A Thon to raise $ for Children's Hospital Colorado Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders:
We are so excited to have our 5th Annual JAG A THON to raise funds for critical cancer research at Children's Hospital Colorado! We would like all swimmers to attend and challenge yourselves to fundraise for this event using the following link:

JAG Swimmers & Divers Rock at Heritage Dual Meet! Congratulations on a super fun and fast meet at Heritage HS. Results will be posted once received from Heritage! We swam some new events and you all shined by supporting your teammates and through your awesome smiles and sportsmanship!
Please make note of following important reminders and updates:
- Practice Schedule this week! We actually have regular Practice at Eastridge Rec Center 3:15 - 4:45 Monday, Wed, Thursday. Holiday practices start Friday, 12/16 at CAC 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm.
- Regis Dual Meet, Tues - 12/13th at Regis HS: You will be dismissed at 2:15 pm. Pease arrive at Regis by 3 pm. Warm up for Swimmers and Divers at 3:20. Meet starts at 4 pm. Regis has asked us not to have food inside the pool area.
Entries will be posted Monday. Unless you notified coaches coaches, all swimmers and divers will be competing! This will be a fast & competitive meet JAGS! Bring it on! Most importantly continue to show your JAG pride through Grace and Sportsmanship! Meet Theme is Black RCHS Swim Jackets (New or Old) and Christmas/Holiday Theme for the meet.
- THE REX/ Coaches Invite Meet Saturday, Dec. 17th at VMAC Pool. Congratulations to over 20 JAGS who have Qualified for this very competitive Meet! This is a Competitive, Qualifying only swim meet and we will post our Athletes competing after the Regis Meet! Details to follow. GO JAGS!

Not only did you swim fast, but also shined through Positive Attitudes, support of your teammates and your wonderful Sportsmanship! - Wed, Dec 7th: JAG SWIM & DIVE TEAM PHOTOS, Eastridge Rec Center 3:15 pm. All swimmers & Divers please wear your team suit or black suit. Team photo will be taken first then individual photos if you are taking one. The photographer will make orders available on line!Short practice after Team photos.
- Friday, Dec 9th: Heritage HS Dual Swim & Dive Meet at Heritage HS: Warm up 3:55 pm, Meet start 430 pm. Swimmers will be dismissed at 2:30 pm. Meet Theme: Dress up for school on Friday (All JAGS) / Wear all things Hawaiian to the meet! Because Heritage HS does not get out until 3:31 pm, they would like our Team to arrive in the parking lot by 3:40. Heritage will charge for spectators. Heritage has a smaller pool only 6 lanes. Therefore, you may be swimming only a relay or two please don't worry. Meet entries will be posted soon. Please notify We have Regis next week with 8 lanes next week and the Creek Invite Jan 4th, where you will have more opportunities! Meet entries will be posted soon. - Littleton Big Cat Brawl, Saturday, Dec 3rd: Good Luck to those competing in the Big Cat Brawl tomorrow at Littleton HS. Every team is limited to only 3 swimmers per event and 3 relays. Entries are posted on Website. Swimmers and Divers already know if they are swimming! Meet Theme is White out with your new sweatshirts and/or JAG OUT! Looking forward to a fun meet and to watching our RCHS Divers Compete. Warm up starts promptly at 8:30 am, Meet starts at 10 am. There is a $5 charge for all spectators. Good Luck JAGS!

Happy Thanksgiving Jaguars!
We are off to a fantastic start of our season and are enjoying swimming outside at CAC during the Thanksgiving Break! Keep up the good work!
When we return to School on Monday, we will hit the ground running (or swimming)! Please review the following IMPORTANT reminders & Updates:
- Swim Practice this week: We will not have practice on Thanksgiving! Enjoy your families! We will have practice on Friday at CAC from 1-2:30 pm
- Swim Practice next week: We will resume our regular practice time 3:15 - 4:45 at Eastridge Rec Center Mon, Wed, Thurs and Friday
- SWIMLABS Team Stroke analysis Saturday, 11/26 between 4-6 pm: Please call SWIMLABS at (303) 798-7946 for your 20 minute under and over water elite stroke analysis from 4-6 pm to reserve your time! This will count as one of your 5 practices if you need an additional practice before competing on Tuesday at our swim meet against Mt. Vista as well!

- Tuesday, 11/29, Swim Meet against Mt. Vista at Northridge Rec Center: Warm up 3:20 pm, Meet starts at 4:00 pm. Meet theme is dress up for School on Tuesday and Blackout at the meet! You will be dismissed at 2:15 in order to arrive at Northridge Rec Center in time to park, change into your Team suit and get ready for warm up by 3:15 pm. Mt. Vista is hosting our meet so we will have the second warm up. Meet starts at 4 pm! Your Coaches are currently working on meet line ups. Please remember if you have not made 5 practices before Tuesday's meet, you cannot swim. However, plan on attending our first meet and cheer on your teammates! Most importantly, show your Jaguar pride by representing yourselves, team, parents and school by showing your awesome Sportsmanship as competitors and teammates!

Our Second week of JAG Swim & Dive Camp is going "Swimmingly"! We have had a fantastic turnout and the girls are working hard. If you are not on a club team, please make every effort to get in the water and swim on your own to prepare for our first 3 days of Regular Season Tryouts! It is not too late to sign up for camp either. You do not have to have your physical to Participate at camp but will need to have with Registration for Regular Season starting Nov. 14th. Camp still has 5 days left. This week, Thursday & Friday and next week Tuesday, Thursday & Friday. Swimmers will be dismissed 15 minutes early! Thank you Coach Jenny and our awesome Dive Coach Kathy for doing such a great job as well!
