 We are excited to welcome our new Head Coach Payton Holloway. Coach Holloway has been teaching and coaching at Rock Canyon since 2021. He graduated from Broomfield High School in 2015. In his time at Broomfield, he was a 3 time Letterman in basketball, football and track & field. His sophomore year he was a part of the 2013 Final 4 boys basketball team. His senior year he received The Epitome Award. This award was voted on by all players in the program for the player who best exhibited leadership, integrity and servant hood. His basketball coaching career started at Broomfield High School in 2017. He was a Boys Varsity Assistant 1 year, Freshman Boys Coach for 1 year and a Sophomore Boys Coach for 2 years. He won the Front Range League twice in his time at Broomfield. In 2021 Coach Holloway was hired as a science teacher, basketball and track coach. He coached the freshman boys at Rock Canyon for 1 year and the sophomore boys for 3 years. He currently teaches freshman level Earth Environmental Science and AP Environmental Science. He has done skills training with girls basketball players since 2022. He is excited for the new opportunity of being a positive role model in the girls basketball program and hoping to bring stability and continuity for many years to come.
